A Bright Pastel Colour Palette for this
 Late Spring Wedding

PORTFOLIO

A floral design evocative of the abundance of nature featuring a contrasting but carefully considered colour palette. Blending blue tones with pinks, lilacs, and terracotta brought an eclectic, almost boho vibe to the florals. We were blessed with the first of the season’s sweet peas, foxgloves, dried scabiosa, delicate cow parsley, pale blue nigella, and poppies with wiggly stems for added texture and charm.

Many of my floral designs are multi-purpose, and Caitlin and Michael’s wedding brief was no exception. The church flower ‘meadows’ were carefully transported back to the venue and placed at the foot of the trestle tables to add even more floral abundance to their wedding breakfast setting.

Taking cues from the breathtaking Welsh surroundings, I also installed a large 10ft hoop stuffed with fragrant foliage which filled the marquee roof space and provided a showstopping, sculptural centrepiece. In addition to this, an organic, rambling staircase installation wound its way intermittently up to the first floor. Interspersed with the odd wildflower, the display captured the romantic spontaneity found in both a garden and nature, with the abundance and overspilling of ingredients creating the appearance of an untamed hedgerow.
